It's been a while since I have made time to sit down and blog! While life is always busy for a family of six, it has seemed even more so lately. I'm not sure why though! Despite it being winter in Perth we have been enjoying some glorious sunny days. I am so grateful that I can still dry two loads of washing each day on the line outside. Eli has discovered that he is now tall enough to ride our smallest two wheeled bike with training wheels. He speeds around the backyard, occasionally under or oversteering and involuntarily pruning a plant as he careers into garden beds. He loves it! Eli has also found some special spots for turning his bike into an exercise bike; undulating brick pavers are perfect for lifting the back wheel off the ground while leaving the front and training wheels firmly in place. He is still as adorable as ever!
Anyway, the reason for this post is to link up a past project to Alyce's Kate Spain Blog Hop over at Blossom Heart Quilts. I love Kate Spain's fabric lines and (you may remember!) last Christmas I made a table topper from her Joy collection. I used Alyce's Ornamental pattern and adapted the layout to fit our square dining table.
In case you missed it the first time, here it is:
Eli sounds so cute riding around on his little bicycle. That's a great table topper, I really like the texture the quilting makes.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeneta! Your son sounds like he has quite the personality, and yes this weather we are having is perfect for a bit of spontaneous pruning!! And also getting the washing dry...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Blog Hop!
